U of M Labor and Community Strike Support Committee

AFSCME Council 5 Retiree Political Club proudly supports U of M AFSCME Locals in their strike – ‘Standing Up for Our Standard of Living’. The strike has gone on since September 5th due to the University’s failure to offer a fair contract to these 3,100+ workers!

As AFSCME retirees from around the State and the University, we URGE you - THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA - to return to the bargaining table, use the funds appropriated by the Legislature for salary increases, and settle this strike with a real fair settlement!

Meanwhile, we’ll continue supporting our University AFSCME Brothers and Sisters on the picket lines and helping in anyway we can. Fair settlement now – let’s get the U of M back in business!
